Job Purpose
Proactively monitor, conduct level 2 troubleshooting, and escalate all incidents and problems raised within the Network Operation Center (NOC) on a 24/7 basis. Ensure uninterrupted service delivery that meets and exceeds business and customer expectations by maintaining the quality and value of services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Development team to understand new products and systems, ensuring proper support during transition periods.
- Provide second-level support for all DSS and onboarding challenges.
- Handle and resolve common customer issues such as basic knowledge queries, detailed support process guidance, and user requests.
- Perform and coordinate root cause analysis of incidents, and share RCA and incident reports.
- Conduct daily proactive monitoring, first-level troubleshooting, resolution, and escalation of issues related to data centre & DR infrastructure, core banking services, core network, branch connectivity, ATM/POS, self-service channels, and power & cooling utilities.
- Manage incidents and problems related to self-service and channels, ensuring SLA compliance and customer expectations are met.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and dashboards for services and infrastructure.
- Automate and consolidate all manual morning health check reports.
- Provide first-level support for self-service channels, escalating appropriately to second-level support.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of service management standards in operating systems, networks, databases, middleware, and virtual environments.
- Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting networks, applications, data centre infrastructure, self-service channels, and power/cooling utilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with creativity, innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in shift rotations.
- Good observation and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of programming and shell scripting (Java, Python, Bash scripting).
- Proficiency in Linux terminal commands.
- DevOps-related skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with tools such as GIT, NetBeans, IDE/Eclipse, Visual Studio, and Android Studio.
- Experience developing with at least two programming languages (C#/.Net, PHP, Java, Objective-C/Swift is an added advantage).
- Knowledge of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JQuery/JavaScript.
- Experience with databases and ORM frameworks.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience handling monitoring tools (Microfocus) in large organizations.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in systems and network security technologies such as TCP/IP, network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), UNIX/Linux, Windows, Oracle & Microsoft Database.
