Position: Market Access Coordinator

The Market Access Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing One Acre Fund Tanzania’s (OATL) market access activities at the regional level. The role focuses on overseeing crop aggregation, maintaining quality control, and implementing operations guided by market data and strategies provided by senior management. The successful candidate will work closely with farmers—particularly youth and women—to facilitate access to profitable markets, deliver training, and support crop sales in line with the organization’s overall market access strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility and market demand studies in collaboration with senior management to identify profitable crop markets.
- Coordinate and implement regional market access activities based on strategic direction.
- Deliver training on best practices and financial literacy to farmer groups, youth, and women to enhance crop quality and market readiness.
- Oversee aggregation, quality control, storage, and delivery processes to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
- Support the facilitation of crop sales and procurement activities aligned with OATL’s market access strategy.
- Supervise temporary data collectors within assigned regions to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of direct experience in agricultural market access or value chain development.
- Proven experience working with smallholder farmers and implementing effective farmer support programs.
- Demonstrated ability to organize farmer groups or cooperatives to strengthen market linkages.
- Knowledge of agricultural input logistics, market pricing structures, and product aggregation methods.
- Strong capacity to build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across finance, logistics, and extension sectors.
