The National Institute of Transportation is located on Mabibo Road, next to the Tanzania-Chinese Textile Mill (URAFIKI) Company, approximately 10 kilometers from the city center.
During your studies, your sponsor, guardian, or you will be responsible for paying for your own transportation to and from NIT.
First-time students can only be admitted after providing a good medical report attesting to their health fitness. Therefore, you are required to get a medical examination from a government hospital or from a licensed and competent medical expert prior to attending the Institute. The forms for the medical examination are enclosed.
For students enrolled in different programs, sponsorship is necessary. These sponsors could be employers, parents or guardians, HESLB, or private organizations. Fees paid are not refundable. The expense schedule is provided for your reference and to assist you in creating the appropriate plans and moving forward.
NIT Fee Structure
Any changes to the fee schedule will be communicated to students in writing, and the Institute will evaluate it on a regular basis as needed.
One student organization is called SONIT (Students’ Organization of the National Institute of Transport). All social and welfare activities for the Institute’s students are planned and coordinated by this department.
To continue with the Institute’s curriculum, employer-sponsored students must provide the appropriate written verification from their employers. Such evidence should be presented in order to be used during the registration procedure.
