We are looking for a passionate and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Mkuranga Plant and contribute to our mission of building sustainable solutions for the future.

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for managing the electrical department, developing, and implementing the best electrical maintenance vision, strategy, and procedures to improve plant operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective operation of all electrical systems including medium and low voltage switchgears, generators, transformers, motors, burners, inverters, PLCs, instrumentation, and automation systems while adhering to safety standards.
  • Develop and implement a planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedule to reduce downtime and maintain machinery efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure performance and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults promptly to minimize plant downtime.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to implement innovative and efficient solutions.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new installations and system upgrades.
  • Manage electrical spare parts stock and prevent plant shutdowns through SAP system monitoring.
  • Maintain manufacturing processes according to Knauf standards.
  • Comply with company safety policies and ensure adherence among team members.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance and maintenance reports.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions for team members.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and automation technologies.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, commitment to learning, and respect for colleagues and company values.
